We always get excited about a nice Gretsch here at The Fellowship of Acoustics, and this G6136 Falcon is a very special model too!
This Custom Shop G6136 Falcon, built by master luthier Gonzalo Madrigal, immediately stands out with its luxurious appearance thanks to its beautiful deep Midnight Sapphire finish, complemented by Gold Sparkle binding, Gold Plexi pickguard, and gold-colored hardware. Looking further, we see a body without a cutaway and a single Filter'Tron in the neck position for a guitar with a very different configuration than what we are used to from Gretsch!
This makes this guitar a model truly reminiscent of the jazz boxes of yesteryear, as the thick, full-hollow body and neck pickup give it a powerful sound with more than enough warmth.
